titleOfInvention Double-end-capped polyamides for high-speed spinning applications
abstract The present invention provides a process for producing polyamide filaments and fibers. The method includes providing a double-ended polyamide and spinning the double-ended polyamide at a speed of 3500 m/min to 8000 m/min to form a fiber. In one embodiment, the polyamide has an amine end group concentration of 25 mmol/kg to 40 mmol/kg and a carboxyl end group concentration of 18 mmol/kg to 50 mmol/kg. Fibers and yarns comprising the polyamide filaments and fibers formed by the process are also disclosed.
