abstract |
The rotary heat exchanger may include a follower compressor, at least a portion of which may rotate with the heat exchanger. By rotating at least a portion of the compressor with the heat exchanger, a sealed fluid circuit containing a two-phase working fluid can be provided. A rotary heat pump or heat engine may include an evaporator and condenser in the form of back-to-back centrifugal fans. A centrifugal fan or other portion of an evaporator or condenser may include an internal cavity where the working fluid undergoes a phase change. |
