abstract The invention relates to a method for diagnosing an exhaust gas treatment configuration for an internal combustion engine (231) of a vehicle (100), the configuration comprising two SCR units (240, 250), two NOx sensors (243, 253) ) and suitably arranged two reducing agent dosing units (237, 247), comprising the steps of: - performing a series of reducing agent dosing operations by the first reducing agent dosing unit; the measured NOx content (NOx1, NOx2) measured by the first NOx sensor (243) and the second NOx sensor (253); Corresponding NOx sensors are considered to provide adequate performance where the corresponding NOx contents are substantially equal. The invention also relates to a computer program product comprising program code (P) for a computer (200; 210; 500) for implementing the method according to the invention. The invention also relates to a system for diagnosing an exhaust gas treatment configuration of an internal combustion engine (231) for a vehicle (100) and a motor vehicle (100) equipped with the system.
