The present invention relates to a catalyst system comprising a transition metal compound on a solid support, the solid support being a "surface-reacted calcium carbonate" comprising calcium carbonate and a water-insoluble calcium salt other than calcium carbonate, such as hydroxyapatite stone. The invention also relates to a method for the manufacture of said catalyst system and its use in heterogeneous catalysis, in particular in C-C cross-coupling and glycerol hydrogenolysis. |
