abstract The invention provides a method and a system for matching an external spline and an internal spline. Wherein, the method comprises the following steps: selecting initial inner/outer spline parameters and defining the effective meshing length of the inner/outer splines; judging whether the tooth surface extrusion stress and tooth root bending stress of the inner/outer spline meet the requirements or not according to the inner/outer spline parameters and the effective meshing length of the inner/outer spline; if so, calculating or matching key matching parameters of the internal/external splines, and defining the key matching parameters to comprise initial values of the spiral angles; calculating an upper limit value and a lower limit value of the effective meshing length when the inner spline and the outer spline are matched according to key matching parameters of the inner spline and the outer spline; determining whether the initial value of the spiral angle is reasonable; and if not, correcting the initial value of the spiral angle. The method of the invention improves the rationality of the selection of the helical angle and ensures the matching accuracy of the external spline and the internal spline.
