Peptides derived from the N-terminal region of granulin have activities that promote cell proliferation, migration and/or wound healing. In addition, additional disulfide bonds can be engineered into these peptides to improve or otherwise alter the folding of the peptides. The peptides can also be modified, for example at proline residues, to improve the ability of the peptides to promote cell proliferation. |
