abstract The invention relates to a method for removing impurities from carbon-containing magnesium-containing high sesquioxide collophanite by mineral separation, which comprises the following steps: mixing the overflow of ground and graded collophanite with a medicament for reverse flotation decarburization operation to obtain carbon-containing tailings and decarburized rough concentrate; mixing the decarbonized rough concentrate with a reagent to perform reverse flotation and demagging operation to obtain magnesium-containing tailings and decarbonized and demagging rough concentrate; mixing the decarbonized and demagging rough concentrate with a reagent to perform a first-stage reverse flotation aluminum and iron reduction operation to obtain a phosphate concentrate 1, a sesqui-containing tailing 1 and an aluminum and iron middling 1; after the ferro-aluminum middling 1 is concentrated, mixing the ferro-aluminum middling 1 with a medicament to perform two-stage reverse flotation ferro-aluminum reduction operation to obtain phosphate concentrate 2 and sesqui-containing tailings 2; and combining the phosphate concentrate 1 and the phosphate concentrate 2 into total phosphate concentrate, and combining other tailings into total tailings. The method greatly reduces the content of various impurities in the phosphate concentrate, which influence the subsequent wet-process phosphoric acid process, ensures the higher recovery rate of the total phosphate concentrate phosphorus pentoxide, and creates an economic and effective beneficiation process for the development and utilization of the collophanite which is difficult to separate.
