The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a propylene homopolymer or a propylene α-olefin random copolymer comprising the following steps: a) by combining at least propylene and optionally an α-olefin with a catalyst in a gas phase reactor at a temperature T1 and a pressure P1 contact to prepare a propylene homopolymer or a propylene α-olefin random copolymer, wherein the α-olefin is selected from ethylene and an α-olefin having 4-10 carbon atoms, such as 1-butene or 1-hexene, wherein T1 selected in the range of 75-90°C, for example in the range of 77-85°C, for example in the range of 78-83°C, wherein P1 is selected in the range of 22-30 bar, to produce a propylene homopolymer (A ') or propylene α-olefin random copolymer (A'). |
