The present disclosure relates to methods and compositions for treating and recovering detergent solvents, the methods comprising: providing a spent detergent fluid comprising water, solvent and solids; adding 1,000 ppm to 20,000 ppm of a coagulant; Add 10 ppm to 1,000 ppm of flocculant; allow the flocculated solid matter to settle; and separate the flocculated solid matter from the spent cleaning fluid, thereby recovering the cleaning fluid. After cleaning or cleaning certain system components with a cleaning fluid, the cleaning fluid may be processed, subjected to liquid-solid separation techniques, and reused as a cleaning fluid. |
