The invention relates to a bismuth metal-supported tungsten nitride photocatalyst and a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method includes the following steps: (1) adding an aqueous pyridine solution to an aqueous phosphotungstic acid solution, centrifuging and drying after heating and stirring, and then placing it in ammonia gas calcining to obtain tungsten nitride nanosheets; (2) adding bismuth nitrate to NaOH solution, hydrothermally, centrifuging and drying to collect powder, and calcining in air to obtain flower-like BiO precursor; (3) combining tungsten nitride nanosheets and flower-like BiO The BiO precursor is dissolved in water, undergoes a hydrothermal reaction, centrifuged to collect the powder, and calcined in ammonia gas to obtain a bismuth metal-supported tungsten nitride photocatalyst.
