abstract |
A method for preventing or removing water-soluble fouling (7) downstream of an oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) reactor (3) is described. The method employs continuous or intermittent introduction of water upstream of the fouling site, which serves to dissolve and carry away the fouling material. This method has the advantage of being suitable for use while the ODH process is in progress, avoiding the need for costly downtime. |
