titleOfInvention | Parthenogenetic haploid-inducing gene DMP and its application |
abstract | The invention discloses a parthenogenetic haploid inducing gene DMP and its application. The present invention clones the parthenogenetic haploid induction genes AtDMP8 and AtDMP9 from Arabidopsis thaliana. Experiments show that the mutation of AtDMP8 and AtDMP9 can produce parthenogenetic haploid induction ability, which extends the application of parthenogenetic haploid induction to dicotyledonous crops. The present invention is further verified in tomato, and it is also found in tomato that the mutation of SlDMP can produce parthenogenetic haploid induction ability. The invention lays an important foundation for broadening the application of haploid breeding technology on dicotyledonous plants and for revealing the biological mechanism of parthenogenetic haploid production. In view of the extensive utilization of haploid breeding technology in the current breeding industry, the present invention has a very wide application space and market prospect. |
