The invention provides a strontium titanate varistor, the composition of which is: Sr1‑x‑y‑z TiO3+x(CeO2+Nb2O5)+y(ZnO+1/2NaCO3)+zSiO2, wherein x=0.1‑0.1‑ 0.5mol%, y=0.2-0.8mol%, z=0.2-0.9mol%. When preparing, first add weighed strontium chloride and titanium chloride into hydrochloric acid and aqueous solution, stir and heat at 60°C, add an equimolar amount of oxalic acid and a small amount of anhydrous ethanol aqueous solution, adjust the pH value to 1 with hydrochloric acid, mix and precipitate, cleaning and filtering to obtain a precipitate, drying the precipitate at 105-130 °C, and then thermally decomposing it at 750-850 °C for 3-8 hours to obtain a strontium titanate powder material; the obtained strontium titanate powder is mixed with x(CeO2+Nb2O5)+y(ZnO+1/2NaCO3)+zSiO2 mixed ball-milling for 6-12 hours, dried at 110℃-150℃, punched into sheets; the formed samples were placed in the corundum ark, and then into the vacuum sintering furnace.
