titleOfInvention | Application of GmEID1 Protein in Regulation of Soybean Flowering and Main Stem Nodes |
abstract | The invention discloses the application of GmEID1 protein in regulating soybean flowering and the number of main stem nodes. A technical solution protected by the present invention is the application of protein or substances regulating the activity or content of the protein in regulating or delaying plant flowering, regulating or increasing the number of main stem nodes of plants, regulating or increasing plant height, and plant breeding and improvement . The protein is the GmEID1 protein shown in Sequence 1 in the sequence listing or the GmEID1 protein after mutation inactivation. Experiments have shown that reducing the expression level and/or activity of GmEID1 protein in soybeans to obtain transgenic soybeans can delay soybean flowering and increase the number of soybean main stem nodes compared with soybean variety TL1. Therefore, GmEID1 protein can delay soybean flowering, increase plant height, number of branches, number of main stem nodes, number of pods per plant and yield per plant, which can be applied to soybean breeding. |
