abstract The invention discloses a metamaterial for realizing dual polarization channel tunable electromagnetic induction transparency. A composite metamaterial is designed to realize the phenomenon of tunable electromagnetic induction with dual polarization channels in the near-infrared band. The designed metamaterial includes a substrate layer at the bottom and periodically spaced dielectric squares and vanadium dioxide squares attached to the upper surface of the substrate. The invention can realize the dual polarization channel tunable electromagnetic induction transparent phenomenon in the near-infrared band by selecting the materials of the substrate and the medium square and designing the size parameters between each element. When the x-polarized light and the y-polarized light are respectively incident on the metamaterial, high-quality electromagnetic induction phenomena can be achieved in the near-infrared band. In addition, the flexible regulation of the electromagnetically induced transparent window will be achieved by adjusting the conductivity of vanadium dioxide. The structure has important application potential in optical switches, slow-light devices and high-sensitivity refractive index sensors, and can improve the integration of the devices and realize the miniaturization of the devices.
