A foam modifier is described, for example, useful for gypsum or cement suspensions. The foam modifier comprises a fatty alcohol that is added to a gypsum or cement suspension that includes a foaming agent, such as an alkylsulfate surfactant. The fatty alcohol may be a C6-C16 fatty alcohol in some embodiments. The use of said foam modifier can be used, for example, to stabilize the foam, reduce the waste of foaming agent, improve the control of the size of the gap in the final product, and improve the manufacturing process of the gypsum board. The foamed cement core suspension incipal faces the first cover sheet; (f) applying a second cover sheet in relation to the second main surface of the foamed cement core suspension to form a wet plate precursor assembly; (g) cut and dry the plate precursor to form the plate product. 75.- The method according to claim 74, characterized in that it further comprises applying a finishing layer between the core and one or both of the cover sheets. |
