titleOfInvention Protective layer to prevent the sticking of biomass ash to the internal refractory lining of the combustion boiler
abstract The protective layer is formed as a removable release layer (3) to separate the refractory lining (1) of the bottom of the combustion boiler from the melt (2) formed by the melting of the biomass ash from the biomass, and is adapted to penetrate them (2) into its upper part ( 4). The protective release layer (3) has a thickness of 0.5 to 10 cm, preferably 1 to 5 cm. The protective release layer (3) is formed of a material chemically inert to the refractory lining (1) to a temperature of 1700 degC, preferably up to 1400 degC. The protective release layer (3) is composed of a particulate inert material having a particle size of 0.1 to 0.8 mm, preferably 0.3 to 0.6 mm, and contains at least 40 wt. % SiO 2, preferably up to 99 wt. Preferably, the protective separating layer (3) is formed from quartz sand or zirconium zirconium sand, respectively.
