titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING MEMBRANES FROM POLYELECTROLYTE COMPLEXES
abstract In the description of the invention a process for the production of membranes based on polyelectrolyte complex is presented. This process is characterized in that the membrane formation takes place at the interface of aqueous solutions of sodium cellulose sulfate and quaternary ammonium-carrying polyelectrolytes, surfactants or dyes by precipitation formation. Homogeneous membranes of uniform thickness are obtained by this procedure without the need for organic solvents. The membranes exhibit high chemical resistance with sufficient mechanical strength and their properties can be adjusted within wide limits.
