titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR PREPARING SUBSTITUTED 2-AMINO-THIAZOLE |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of substituted 2-amino-thiazoles and relates to the field of organic synthetic chemistry. It has a process for the goal, with which substituted 2-amino-thiazoles of the general formula III, in which R 1 is an aryl radical and R 2 and R 3 are alkyl radicals, can be obtained from technically available or readily available starting materials. Type III compounds can be used as organic intermediates or as biologically active compounds. The invention has for its object to produce such 2-amino-thiazoles from a-thiocyanato-acetophenones. The object is achieved according to the invention by reacting α-thiocyanato-acetophenones of the formula I where R1 is an aryl radical with amine salts of the formula II in which R2 and R3 are identical, different or linked alkyl radicals and HX is a weak acid, in solvents such as lower alcohols, halogenated hydrocarbons or dipolar aprotic solvents, while applying temperatures up to the boiling point of the reaction mixture and the resulting 2-amino-thiazoles as such or isolated in the form of their salts. |
