abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 2,5-divinyl-1,4-dioxane from (Z) -but-2-en-1,4-diol. 2,5-divinyl-1,4-dioxane is a valuable monomer for copolymers, which have proven particularly as textile printing aids. In addition, it is suitable as a building block of compounds with liquid-crystalline properties. According to the invention, bis (benzonitrile) -dichloro-palladium (II) is used as catalyst for the conversion of (Z) -but-2-en-1,4-diol to 2,5-divinyl-1,4-dioxane. |
