Technical problem DOLLAR A Production of plastic-metal composite workpieces, in particular of hollow metal bodies lined with plastic inner-sheath layers, with a device that can be used for a large number of different geometrical shapes and sizes of hollow metal bodies, causes a low device outlay and enables a cost-saving mode of operation and reduces the risk to the operator. DOLLAR A solution DOLLAR A The device comprises a plasticizing unit (3) for plasticizing and extruding the plastic melt, an injection unit (4) for taking up, dosing and injecting the plastic melt into a sealed cavity of the hollow metal body via an insertable sprue bushing (15), a workpiece holding unit (5) for holding the metal hollow body heated to melt temperature, in the injection and cooling position, around a cooling device for cooling the plastic-metal composite workpiece. DOLLAR A The workpiece holder (5) has a holder plate (16) for the positive positioning of the sprue bushing (15) detachably connected to the metal hollow body perpendicularly under the injection nozzle (14) and drives (17) of the holder plate (16) for the positive connection of the injection nozzle ( 14) with the sprue bush (15).
