abstract |
An apparatus for feeding gas into a boiler comprises a lance 26 having a gas flow tubing 31 which extends longitudinally from the rear end to the front end 36 which releases the gas from the tubing. An elongated body 38 located in the forward end of the tubing is connected to flow directing vanes 39 to create a swirl in the supply gas. The tip 44 is cooled on one side with water supply and return through supply and return passages 52, 56. Cooling water also passes through internal cooling passages 66, 75, 76, 87 in the blades 39 and the central body 38 via water supply and return passages 60 in the pipeline. |
