System for a vehicle having an engine with an exhaust system, the system comprising: an exhaust pressure sensor installed in the engine exhaust; a particulate filter built into the engine exhaust; and a computer storage medium having a computer program encoded therein for determining deterioration of the exhaust pressure sensor, the computer storage medium comprising: A code for determining at least one parameter based on at least two flow conditions; A code for measuring a signal from the exhaust pressure sensor; and a code for determining the deterioration of the exhaust gas pressure sensor based on at least the parameter and the signal, wherein based on the at least two flow conditions, the gain of the exhaust pressure sensor is determined, which represents the ratio of a change in the sensor signal to a change in pressure. |
