titleOfInvention Apparatus and method for collecting and storing energy
abstract The present invention relates to energy accumulation and storage apparatus and methods, and more particularly to apparatus for collecting and storing energy that collects and stores celestial radiation, and methods of collecting and storing the same. The object of the invention was to provide an apparatus and a method for collecting and storing sky radiation such as direct radiation from the sun or the moon or diffuse solar or lunar radiation in the case of a cloud cover over the device, and it will be described below with reference to this application is described. It will be apparent, however, that the invention is not limited to this particular field of application. The object is achieved by a device for collecting sky radiation and converting and storing energy, comprising: a radiation collecting element with optical power and a memory element proximal to but spaced from the collecting element for storing energy in the form of thermal energy; wherein the collecting element is directed to the incident radiation on the storage element and wherein the directional radiation is absorbed by the storage element, whereby it is converted into thermal energy and retained in the storage element, and a method for collecting and storing energy.
