abstract It is described a composite beam axle for motor vehicles, the two wheel-bearing, pivotally hinged to the vehicle body trailing arm, which are at least about a transverse to the direction of pivot axis pivoted, and arranged between the trailing arms parallel to the pivot axis rigid and torsionally cross-bar, the ends of which angle-rigid with the trailing arms are connected, wherein the respective ends of the transverse strut are connected to the trailing arms by gluing and the cross strut at their ends in each case a U- or V-shaped profile and the respective trailing arm for receiving the U- or V-shaped profile in each case one have corresponding U- or V-shaped recess.
