titleOfInvention Use of a calibration standard in an X-ray fluorescence analyzer
abstract A novel use of a calibration standard in an X-ray fluorescence analyzer is proposed. The calibration standard comprises a sample holder (12) and a calibration sample arranged or to be arranged in or on the sample holder (12). The sample holder (12) is rotatably mounted about an axis (R) and the calibration sample has a plurality of elements (14a-14l), which are arranged on a rotationally symmetrical to the axis (R) circle (K) or can be arranged. When performing the calibration, the measurement spot (M) of the X-ray fluorescence analyzer is on the circle (K). In particular, in order to use pure metals for the elements (14a-14l) of the calibration sample, the sample holder (12) is rotated to perform the calibration in rotation about the axis (R), so that during the calibration, the individual elements (14a-14l ) of the calibration sample from the measuring spot (M) are swept over, so that by temporal integration of the obtained measuring signal, a reference spectrum is formed.
