titleOfInvention Battery unit suitable for receiving a water damage sensor
abstract A battery unit is proposed which includes a control board, a storage case, a water detector and an electrical conductor. The storage case consists of an assembly of first and second case members. The first housing member has an upright wall extending from the bottom thereof and surrounding the battery. The second housing element also has an extension which extends in the direction of the bottom of the first housing element. The water detector is positioned near the lower end of the extension of the second housing element. The electrical conductor extends upward from the top of the extension and is electrically connected to the water detector. The electrical conductor is also mechanically and electrically connected to the control board. This structure enables ease with which the water detector is electrically and mechanically installed in the battery unit.
