| abstract | The invention relates to a method for maintaining and / or repairing a machine installation, which comprises at least one rolling bearing arrangement, the method comprising the steps of: a) dismantling the at least one bearing arrangement from the machine installation; b) storing the at least one bearing assembly outside of the machinery; c) repair and / or maintenance of the machinery; d) replacement of the at least one bearing assembly in the machinery. In order to protect the bearing assembly during its storage outside the machinery even under harsh environmental conditions in a simple manner, the invention provides that after dismantling the bearing assembly according to step a) and before storing the bearing assembly according to step b) the bearing assembly in an at least substantially gas-tight enclosure is introduced, wherein subsequently air is evacuated from the enclosure. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for transporting a roller bearing assembly. |
