abstract | The invention relates to a battery (10) for a motor vehicle, the battery (10) having a plurality of battery module arrangements (12), each of the battery module arrangements (12) having at least one battery module (14) with at least one battery cell (16) of a specific cell type, and a cell module control unit (18) assigned to the at least one battery module (14). In addition, the battery (10) includes a battery control device (26) which is communicatively connected to the cell module control units (18). At least one cell type-dependent module characteristic (A1, A2, A3, K1, K2, K3, G1, G2, G3) is stored in each of the cell module control units (18) and each of the cell module control units (18) is designed to to determine at least one status parameter (Z1, Z2, Z3) of the at least one assigned battery module (14) from the at least one module characteristic (A1, A2, A3, K1, K2, K3, G1, G2, G3) and to transmit it at an interface (24 ) of the cell module control unit (18) for communication with the battery control device (26) for transmission of the status parameter (Z1, Z2, Z3) to the battery control device (26). |
