abstract | A mirror adjustment mechanism (1) for a side mirror of a motor vehicle, wherein the mirror adjustment mechanism (1) comprises: a base frame (2) which can be fixedly connected to a motor vehicle, and a mirror connector integrated with a mirror support plate, hereinafter called a mirror connector plate (3), for supporting a mirror member, said mirror connector plate (3) being pivotally connected to said base frame (2) via a hinge structure (4) at least provides a degree of freedom between the base frame (2) and the mirror connector plate (3), and wherein an electrical connection between the base frame (2) and the mirror connector plate (3) is provided, wherein the electrical connection provides for the realization of at least one of the following mirror use functions: Mirror heating, electrical attenuation of the incident light, or keeping the mirror free of water by vibrations, characterized in that the electrical connection comprises at least a pair of contact parts (6a, 6b; 6a ', 6b') which are arranged to be movable relative to one another, wherein the contact parts (6a, 6b; 6a ', 6b') together form a sliding contact (5) Maintaining electrical contact during pivoting of the mirror connector plate (3) relative to the base frame (2) and a contact portion (6b, 6b ') of the contact portions (6a, 6a', 6b, 6b ') of the sliding contact (5) fixed to the mirror connector plate (3) is connected, wherein the sliding contact (5) is integrated into two hinge parts (4a, 4b) of the hinge structure (4), which are arranged to be movable relative to each other, and wherein the joint construction has a ball joint, with the two joint parts (4a, 4b), which work together as a ball and socket. |
