The present disclosure generally relates to the growth of recombinant bacterial cells of photoautotrophic species under day conditions. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to isolated bacterial cells of photoautotrophic species that exhibit increased growth under day conditions through the expression of a sugar transporter protein and methods for their use. |
