abstract |
The fuel injection system has the DC motor fuel pump (3) regulated by a motor current control circuit (13) in response to a programmed control which measures the fuel feed rate and the engine parameters. The fuel pump motor torque and speed are regulated to deliver the programmed fuel flow. No return fuel feed is required. The motor current control compares the programmed motor current with the actual motor current to generate correction signals for the motor control. The control varies with the engine requirements. Control circuits monitor the fuel flow rate, the engine parameters and the voltage level of the motor control. |
