abstract |
The fuel injector has a valve (12) actuated by a tubular solenoid spool (6). It has a core (3) which extends through the inner part of the spool and an outer section (7) defining an outer magnetic path around the spool. The core can have an outwardly extending flange (3a) on an axially extending part of the core. The outer section can have a disc shaped end plate (7b) in the centre of which is an aperture (8) for the reception of the core without forming a gap between the end plate and the core. |
