abstract The direct drive has an active part with a coil system employing wound magnetic cores and a permanent magnet system for providing a magnetic flux, with Hall-effect sensors within the magnetic cores, for measuring the magnetic flux for each motor phase. The measuring values provided by the sensors are fed via signal processing devices to magnetic flux regulators for the respective motor phases, providing adjustment of the motor phase currents.
