abstract It is already known to seal leaky vehicle tires with a sealant from a pressurized bottle. To fill the tire with the required amount of gas, a compressor must be carried in the vehicle, which, however, causes an increase in weight and reduces the available storage space. The object of the invention is to provide a device and to provide a method in which little storage space is required to fill a vehicle tire and the weight increase is small. DOLLAR A The device according to the invention is characterized in that there is a system pressure in the air conditioning system which is greater than the required tire pressure, that a connection point is formed on the air conditioning system for a connecting hose, that the device is provided with a pressure reducer and a pressure gauge and that a connection for the tire valve is arranged at an end of the connecting hose facing away from the air conditioning system.
