At least one thioether foam-inhibitor having the general formula R1-S-R2 or R1-S-R3-S-R2 (where R1 and R2 are opt. same and denote 8-30C hydrocarbyl opt. substd. by OH or halogen and esp. linear alkyl, alkylene or hydroxyalkyl >=1 of which contains 12-24C; R3 is 2-24 hydrocarbyl, esp. a 2-12C linear opt. satd. hydrocarbyl and sum of C in R1, R2 and R3 is >20, esp. >24) is added to washing-, detergent- and water softener powders contg. >=1 detergent or complexing cpd (I), e.g. anionic zwitter ion wash-activ e cpds, polymer phosphates and complex formers, in 0.1-10 (0.5-5) wt.% concn., w.r.t. (i). Compsn are suitable for washing textiles, dishes, bottles in automatic machines. |
