titleOfInvention | LIGHT-SENSITIVE, ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECORDING MATERIAL |
abstract | In a light-sensitive electrophotographic recording matl. with a conductive base, a coating (I) contg. an inorg. photoconductor and over this, a transparent insulating coating (II) (I) contains an inorg. glass, whilst (II) is based on an inorg. glass. The material has high sensitivity and improved resistance to weathering, wear, heat and solvents, hence better stability, and can be used directly as printing plate after fixing, without after-treatment, e.g. to render it hydrophilic. The wt. ratio of inorg. photoconductor to inorg. glass in (I) is 1-2:4-1. (II) pref. also contains an inorg. high dielectric substance with a specific dielectric constant of 102 to 104, wt. ratio of inorg. to this substance being 50-4:1. (II) also has a thin protective coating of a metal oxide (SiO2, TiO2 or Al2O3). |
