| abstract |
An irradiation device for medicinal or cosmetic uses has a reflector mounted within the body housing and a series of one or more super actinic low pressure luminescent lamps (3). The spectral energy range of the low pressure luminescent lamps (3) lies in the range 300-450 mm. In addition to the luminescent lamps (3) one or more mercury high pressure discharge lamps (5) and/or one or more infra red irradiation sources (6) and/or one or more light sources (7, 9) may be provided. Metal/halogen lamps may be used as the light sources (7, 9). The connectors for the super actinic luminescent lamps (3) are attached within the end compartment (2) of the device. |
