Novel azo pigments are of formula (I): In the formula D is the residue of a diazo component; K is -CH3COCHCO or R is H or opt. substd. aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic gp.; the rings A and B may be further substd. The pigments give prods. having very good fastness to plasticisers, light and also to temp. Pref. cpds. have the B ring substd. by X and Y (where X = H, Cl, Br, Me, Et, MeO, EtO, PhO, NO2, acetylamino, benzoylamino, chlorobenzoylamino or phenylsulphonylamino; Y= H or Cl) and R = H or phenyl or naphthyl opt. substd. by Cl, Br, Me, MeO, acetylamino, benzoylamino, phenylsulphonylamino or carbaoyl. |
