titleOfInvention | PROCEDURE FOR WASHING AND CLEANING SOLID MATERIALS |
abstract | A process for washing and cleaning of surfaces, partic. textiles and tableware using an aq. bath contg. a finely divided, crystalline, H2O-insol. synthetic Al silicate in suspension, capable of neutralising the hardness of H2O and having the formula: 0.7-1.35 Kat2O. 1.0Al2O3. 1.3-2.4 SiO2 in which Kat is an alkaline cation, partic. Na+, capable of an exchange reaction with Ca++ or Mg++. The Al silicate comprises: (A) 40-90% of particles having a crystal structure identifiable by the following interference lines in the X-ray diffraction diagram (in angstrom): 12.4, 8.6, 7.0, .1, 3.68, 3.38, 3.26, 2.96,2.73, 2.66 and (B) 10-60% of particles identified similarly by lines: 6.36, 3.72, 2.92, 2.70, 2.56. Used as components of phosphate-free or low phosphate detergents having less adverse effect on environment. Have improved ability to neutralise Mg hardness compared with earlier silicate component. Binding ability = 100-165 mg CaO and 50-110 mg MgO per g active substance (A.S), which is defined as the anhydrous cpd. of above formula obtd. by heating 1 h. at 800 degrees C. |
