titleOfInvention LEVEL SOLAR COLLECTOR AND PROCEDURE FOR ITS OPERATION
abstract The solar heater has a black absorbing plate (1) through which a pipe coil (2) runs. This carries the water to be heated. the plate with the coil is fixed across the centre of a rectangular casing. The space between the plate and the sides and bottom of the casing is filled with insulating material (4). The top of the casing is covered by a double glazed plate with a gap between the upper and lower sheets (6a, 6b). The water to be heated flows through this g ap before entering the absorber plate coil (2). The water thus takes up the portion of the solar radiation absorbed in the glass.
