titleOfInvention NON-LINEAR RESISTANCE ELEMENT
abstract Nonlinear resistance element made from a ceramic material with an insulating coating on a part of the surface, used as an overvoltage suppressor is improved in that the insulating coating material is a mixt. of a refractory filler with a suspending clay and an inorganic binder soln. hardening at relatively low temps. The insulating material has a low coefft. of thermal expansion (about 45x10-6 degrees C-1) and hardens at relatively low temps. whereby the insulating collar can be attached to the resistor disc at a relatively low temp. without damage.
