abstract |
The voltage arrester has relatively high resistance without an increased number of resistors in series with the discharge gap (30) without increased height and without increased voltage-dependent resistance in region of rated voltage. Several non-linear resistors with large exponents are connected in series between two terminals. At least one shunt discharge gap is connected in parallel with at least one of these non-linear resistors. At least one of the non-linear resistors has no discharge gap shunting it. No series discharge gaps are located in the string of resistors. |
