abstract Protective pants comprise an outer covering and waterproof inner sheet, cut to a trapezoidal shape with concave sides to form a rear portion with two pointed side flaps which encompass the hips of th baby, and a front portion forming a flat abdominal panel fixed horizontally at waist level at points variably spaced from the waist portions of the side flaps. The pants are held in position by elastic fixed at waist level on the rear portion, only at the back, and by elastic fixed to the concave edges of the trapezium around the leg holes. Pref. 'Velcro' (RTM) type strips are used, with a loop strip of polyamide on the front panel, and hook strips of 89% polyamide and 11% polypropylene on the side flaps.
