titleOfInvention DEVICE FOR RE-CONCENTRATING AND COLLECTING SUNLIGHT CONSTRUCTED BY A WATER LENS ROOF
abstract The invention describes how the strips of maximum focusing of the light generated by the adjacent areas of a water lens roof are collected via vertically and horizontally displaceable traverses. The latter are designed as rotatable parabolic grooves for further concentration of the light. The vertical and horizontal movements are made possible by drive weights AGV and AGH, respectively. Once the AGV have been raised by means of the rope winches SWV, they then drop downwards and pull the traverses upwards, as soon as current flows through the magnetic brakes MBV. If the AGV are standing on the consoles, then the traverses can drop downwards, with unwinding of the rope winches. The displacement of the traverses relative to the transverse direction of the roof takes place in a very similar manner. Figures 1 and 2 show the associated mechanics. In addition, the invention describes and discusses in greater detail, with reference to Figures 3 to 7, how the movements of the traverses can be controlled by the sunlight. <IMAGE>
