| abstract | The invention relates to a cleaning device in which a round brush (3) is rotatably mounted in a housing (2) and is driven by a motor (4) by means of a belt (5). In order to prevent the particles whirled up by the round brush (3) from being deposited in the housing (2) and on the bearings, it is proposed to arrange the round brush (3) in a separate protective housing (8) that is only open to the surface to be cleaned. The protective housing (8) has, at both ends, side walls (13) which reach up to the roller (6) carrying the bristles of the round brush (3) and which axially close off the brush space. Outside the side walls (13), bearings are placed on the axis of the round brush (3). With their end shield (20), the bearings are positively inserted into receptacles (24, 25) of the housing (2). |
