Phosphoric acid cyanohydrin esters of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R is hydrogen or an optionally substituted radical from the series comprising alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, aralkyl, aralkenyl and aryl or an optionally substituted heterocyclic radical, R<1> and R<2> are identical or different and individually represent optionally substituted radicals from the series comprising alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylthio, arylthio, aralkylthio, alkylamino (mono- and dialkylamino), arylamino, aralkylamino, alkenylthio, alkynylthio or together represent alkanediyl, alkanedioxy, aminoalkyloxy or alkanediamino, and X is oxygen or sulphur, by reacting phosphoryl chlorides of the formula II <IMAGE> in which X, R<1> and R<2> have the abovementioned meanings with aldehydes of the formula III R-CHO (III> in which R has the abovementioned meaning, in the presence of approximately equimolar amounts of water-soluble cyanides. Some of the compounds of the formula I are new. They can be used as insecticides and acaricides. |
