abstract |
In this solar collector, the cover, which is transparent to radiation, is formed from one piece of material into a box shape with no frame below. The insulation, which overhangs outwards, is provided with reflecting layers which reflect additional radiation onto the solar absorber. The solar absorber with the pipe passages has contact with the parts of the building only through small contact surfaces in the 3-point suspension and heat insulating rings. An excess pressure within the solar collector is prevented by the expansion diaphragms. The chief possibilities of use are in the heating of water for heating and industrial uses. |
