titleOfInvention SUN ELECTRIC POWER SOURCES SOLEES
abstract The invention relates to solar electrical energy sources SOLEES, which convert solar energy directly into electrical energy by means of the Melk effect and the principle of magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD) generators. A SOLEES cell is composed of the heat receiver (1), which can be rotated in all directions of a hemisphere as a result of a ball bearing, the associated hot heat conductor (2), the conversion system (3) and the positive electron collecting circuit (4), and the negative electron collecting circuit (5). The function of the SOLEES cell is that solar rays are concentrated by means of a bi-convex lens on to the focus spot, and the hot heat plate, which passes the heat on to the hot heat conductor (2) is located at this focus spot. The heat is converted directly into electrical energy in the conversion system (3), by means of the Melk effect and the principle of MHD generators. SOLEES can be brought into use on all heavenly bodies which have no intrinsic heat source and in which no cloud formation occurs. They are outstandingly suitable for space exploration in combination with TERES and MULACES. <IMAGE>
