In the case of a steam turbine plant, with a steam turbine, with a shrink-mounted turbine rotor and a steam feed device for supplying steam to the stuffing box parts of the steam turbine, it was found that the same device can be used to generate protective steam which can be conducted into the vicinity of the parts of the turbine, which, in the absence of steam, are prone to stress corrosion cracking. |
